Product of the Month Begonia Belle

Hello and welcome to my blog post.

I have created a card using the gorgeous Begonia Belle Stamp set, the July Product of the Month. I am in love with the images and sentiments in this stamp set. Who doesn’t like a Begonia! I have teamed it with the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder. A perfect match1

The card base is Peaceful Pine card stock. The embossed layer is Peaceful Pine Two-Tone card stock with the lighter side on the card front. After I embossed the card stock I used some sand paper to lightly rub the embossed aread to show the white core of the card. I also roughed the edges to create a more shabby chic look.

I die cut one of the labels from the new Flourish & Frames Hot Foil No Dies in Basic White card stock for my bloom to sit on. Adhering to the card front using Dimensionals.

On more Basic White card stock I stamped the Begonia in Crisp Cantaloupe, stamping off before the second stamped image. The Begonia Buds also in Crisp Cantaloupe. Then leaves in Peaceful Pine. I also stamped off for the second image. I used my paper snips to fussy cut all the stamped images.

I arranged then adhered all the stamped images to the top of the Basic White label using Dimensionals.

I tied a length of Linen Thread in a double bow and adhered it to the right hand side of the Begonia using a Mini Glue Dot™. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ ink on a piece of Peaceful Pine Two-Tone card stock. Sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool before punching it out using the Three Banner Punch. Adhering the sentiment with Dimensionals. The final touch three Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Colour™ Dots.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’re feeling inspired to create something beautiful. Feel free to swap out any of the products I’ve used for something you already have in your stash. Or, if you’d like to order the Begonia Belle stamp set, it’s just AU$9.00 when you order for AU$125.00 or more. And don’t worry, there’ll be another fun Product of the Month next month too!

Have a great week friends!

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Christmas in July

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for July!

This month we are celebrating Christmas in July with Christmas projects using one of two colour palettes. I chose the more traditional colour palette below. Colours included are Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake. It was left up to us to decide how many colours we worked with. I have kept everything simple for my card as I wanted to show a card that anyone can reproduce in bulk easily for Christmas with no ribbon or embellishments.

I’m using the Woodland Wishes stamp set, which is such a sweet one! It’s now available as an Online Exclusive, and I’m pretty excited about it. I love the whimsical animals and design of this set. I have really enjoyed colouring the critters, and wanted to keep the design simple and very clean. I enjoy making Christmas cards in large quantities and thought I’d share how I create for Christmas. You could just stamp and not colour the critters to speed up the process if you are making a lot at the one time.

The card base is a piece of basic white thick card stock. The matt layer is Crumb Cake. I glued the matt layer to the card base. I tore a 10.5 cm piece of Real Red two tone card stock to create the central band. On a thin white piece of card stock, I stamped the dots using a stamp from the Bordered in Beauty stamp set in Real Red Ink. I glued them together and then glued them to the card base.

I stamped all three animals in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card stock. I coloured them in using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. I added some little white spots to the back of the Deer and the head of the Fox using our new white gel pen. I then proceeded to die cut the three animals using three stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered the three stitched circles with animals to the card front using Dimensionals. The two stitch circles on the right hand side are sitting underneath the larger circle circle with the deer.

On a basic White piece of card stock I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green Ink. I trimmed this sentiment layer with paper snips and adhered it on top of the spotted strip and under the deer circle using dimensionals. I kept all my layers low profile as this would make the process of putting together and posting much simpler. You could add more layers if you so wish.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I’m really hoping you’ve been inspired to whip up some Christmas cards this July. It’s winter here in Australia, and the days have been pretty chilly this week. So, it’s been the perfect excuse to dive into the craft room and get creative for this Christmas theme.

Colour INKspiration #CI213

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #CI213!

The team have another beautiful colour palette for this challenge. A stunning sunset scene. This challenges inspiration image was chosen by Design Team Member Sharon Dalton.

When I saw our beautiful inspiration image, I was drawn to create another sunset inspired card. But, as I had made a sun inspired card for our last challenge, I decided to use my newest bundle, the Splash & Relax Bundle, to create a fun card. I think the colours also lend themselves to a summer inspired card. And the Splash & Relax Bundle is just perfect for fun summer.

The card base is thick Basic White card stock. The next layer is also Basic White but I have used the water Mask from the Water & Lines decorative masks. I have gently used Secret Sea ink and a blending brush to create my background layer. I love these decorative masks. They make such a wonderful addition to your craft room as they create the most to amazing backgrounds by just adding ink.

I stamped the pool rings in Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush before die cutting them with the coordinating die. I stamped the ball in Timid Tiger and die cutting it with the coordinating die, I die cut the drink bottle, thongs, glasses and sun visor out of the three challenge colours. I created the flower for the sun visor from the Fern & Flora dies as that was the perfect size. When I die cut the sunglasses I used Sea card stock for the lenses, but before I die cut the pieces I inked the card stock with Versamark™ Ink and sprinkled it clear embossing w and setting with the heat tool. This gives the lenses some shine for added fun. I adhered all the die cutting pieces using glue and Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in secret sea ink on basic white card stock. I die cut this sentiment using one of the dies from the gears and textures bundle. It is a perfect fit and I just had to shorten it and adhere using Dimensionals. . The final touch was three Secret Sea In Colour dots placed around all the elements.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will join us for this colour challenge or feel inspired to create a card of your own.
